 Dr. Andreas Köpke, Associate PartnerFor more than 15 years Dr. Andreas Köpke has gained substantial management and international experience as department head in the pharmaceutical industry and as CBO or CEO in multiple biotech companies. He has closed important deals, initiated and led merger discussions, a company sale and supported a very successful IPO. Andreas Köpke offers strategic advice (sales and marketing, organization, financing) and business development support through his consulting company bioExpert. He acts as interim manger during times of change or urgent management needs and provides lab procurement support for biotech companies together with a very experienced executive partner (>30 years).
He is a specialist for protein science and drug development from concept to the early clinical trials. His technology evaluation and product definition capabilities include IP management and licensing negotiations. He has established a strong personal network throughout Europe, North America and Japan.
Andreas Köpke studied chemistry and biochemistry in Berlin and won the Otto-Hahn-Medal 1989 for his PhD thesis. In his academic career, he has worked in various Max-Planck-Institutes in Germany and at the University of Victoria in Canada and published more than 25 papers. He is a regular presenter at international science and partnering meetings. His working languages are German, English and Dutch.
